A 19-year-old Billings woman died this weekend after a single-car rollover in Lockwood.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the woman was driving west around 4:30 Sunday morning when her vehicle left the road while on a curve and rolled multiple times. The car came to rest in a grassy area in front of an apartment building.
Officials identified the victim as Meghan Gregory. The patrol says alcohol and speed were both factors.
Later on Sunday, the Patrol says that a 61-year-old Texas woman died after rolling her car into a ditch east of Miles City. Custer County Undersheriff Pat Roos identified the woman as Nancy Allen, of Hamilton, Texas.
The patrol says Allen was northbound on Mizpah Road at about 11 Sunday night when she swerved to miss something in the road, overcorrected, and rolled into a ditch, coming to a stop on its roof.
The patrol says Allen, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol and speed do not appear to have played a role.
